Thai Nam Jim Tuna Patties


The delicious flavours of the John West Thai Nam Jim Tuna makes for the perfect Thai style tuna patties

Makes: 6 patties


  • 1 medium potato, peeled and chopped
  • 2 x 95g cans John West Thai Nam Jim & Tuna
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dried breadcrumbs
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Sweet chilli, for serving


Step 1

Place potato in a microwave safe dish, cover and cook on High for 5 minutes or until soft. Transfer to a large bowl and mash.

Step 2

Stir in undrained John West Tuna, spring onion, carrot, egg, coriander, breadcrumbs and lime zest until well combined. Shape into 6 patties. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large frypan over medium-high heat, cook patties in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden in colour, using remaining oil as required. Serve with an Asian dipping sauce such as sweet chilli.

Tasty Tip!

The patties can be made ahead of time and stored covered in the refrigerator until ready to cook.
